About Our Sports Medicine Programs
Care and treatment of athletes is a specialized field provided by individuals who understand the mental and physical components of athletics as well as understanding the mechanics of the sport and the stresses they place on the athlete’s body. Sports Specialty and Rehabilitation has clinicians who have over 50 years of experience in treating athletes from all sports from the professional ranks to the young athletes.
The gamut of experiences runs from being the Athletic Trainer for professional teams as well as a consultant to the NBA, NFL, Major League Baseball and Professional Soccer to working with Division I college programs and high school athletes as well as young athletes just beginning their athletic endeavors.
Sports Specialty and Rehabilitation center provides treatment of athletic injuries that restores the athlete to their highest level of function so that they may return to their sport as quickly and safely as possible. Components of the program in addition to treatment of the injury includes biomechanical analysis of the sport through video analysis, functional progression based on the sport prior to returning to practice and any type of bracing and or support needed to aid in their return to participation.
